Matany Girls' Vocational School (MGVS) aims to offer quality and relevant skills training programs to vulnerable girls and out of school youth in Karamoja. MGVS is based in Kokeris Village, Lokuwas Parish, Matany sub-county, Napak District, Karamoja. MGVS is an initiative of Andreas Manna Foundation Uganda (AMFU) a Community Based Organization based in the Karamoja sub-region.
Bridge the gap between theoretical acquisition of knowledge and practical skills transfer.
Increase job opportunities and marketable skills through linkages with employers.
Create job creators of tomorrow through entrepreneurship training and access to micro-financing.
8-week class-based, 8-week internship.
The Paul Sherwen block built and commissioned in Feb 2023.
A workshop block is fully equipped and houses the courses; Hairdressing ,Tailoring and Hospitality , staff room and Principals' office.
