Matany Girls' Vocational School (MGVS) aims to offer quality and relevant skills training programs to vulnerable girls and out of school youth in Karamoja. MGVS is based in Kokeris Village, Lokuwas Parish, Matany sub-county, Napak District, Karamoja. MGVS is an initiative of Andreas Manna Foundation Uganda (AMFU) a Community Based Organization based in the Karamoja sub-region.
Bridge the gap between theoretical acquisition of knowledge and practical skills transfer.
Increase job opportunities and marketable skills through linkages with employers.
Create job creators of tomorrow through entrepreneurship training and access to micro-financing.
MGVS reached its maximum capacity and needs funds to build a workshop to house a kitchen for catering classes and a salon for hairdressing skills training. Learn more about the fundraising campaign initiated by Paul Sherwen Project.
The 'Matany Girls' Scholarships Fund' gives opportunities to vulnerable girls to building girls’ self-confidence and resilience, increasing their access to opportunities, ensuring their equal participation in the labor force, and promoting their empowerment. The fundraising is initiate by Tour of Karamoja - Bike Event
